Role in EWEAS
SGS will take care of the administrative and financial management of the project, overall supervision and knowledge transfer and ensuring effective collaboration amongst the partners, stakeholders and end users. In parallel to the administrative tasks, SGS will carry out filed visits to several aquaculture farms in Spain with the aim to analyse the current status of fish farm facilities and the points for potential improvement. SGS will also develop and distribute a set of questionnaires to aquaculture farms and perform analysis on the water and energy consumption patterns in Spain.
Moreover, SGS will develop a report analysing gaps and weaknesses in European aquaculture with a focus on main technical deficiencies and constraints for water and energy management. This will help to provide a feasibility analysis of potential solutions for a more efficient and sustainable aquaculture management. The report will serve as a basis for the EWEAS training programme.
